I thought I would show a post of my mini Etsy, a preview of what is available to purchase in my store, There are so many necklaces, bracelets, charm bracelets, earrings and rings, the styles of the jewellery in my store include romantic, gothic (lots more gothic styles coming soon!) vintage style, glamorous, modern, also cute and girly! I can also do custom orders for people. Every piece is designed with lots of thought for look as well as practicality, when I design I like my pieces to sit just right and to look just right too. I spend a lot of time on designing and the making of all my pieces, so you can be assured that the piece of jewellery you are purchasing has been made with lots of care and attention to detail.

A Lovely Romantic Design - Ebony Teardrop - Necklace

This necklace has been one of my most popular designs, it is quite dramatic and I love how it turned out. The design draws your eye to the large teardrop pendant, which is what I was hoping, with a pendant that eyecatching and large, I had to be careful not to overload the beaded section of chain, or it would have overpowered the dramatic effect that I wanted the pendant to have. I had to also be careful not to make the necklace too simple, or the teardrop would have stood out too much. I love how well the antique brass goes with the black beads and pendant, it makes them really stand out and sparkle and give the necklace a real vintage look.

Antique brass chain beaded with beautiful faceted black glass beads and black glass bicones encircles the neck. At the front of the design is a gorgeous antique brass scroll connector and suspended from this is a simply stunning large black faceted teardrop, encased in a seemingly delicate piece of antique brass filigree.

Some accidents are meant to happen!! - Love Birds - Necklace - My Newest Design

This necklace was designed purely accidentally!! I had made a cluster of gorgeous fuschia-colored swarovski bicone crystals in assorted sizes for another design. When I put it together I hated it, so I just dumped the gorgeous cluster of crystals to the side, really annoyed that I had wasted all that time for a design that didn't work (anyone who works with 4mm swarovski bicones knows that they aren't that much fun to turn the head pins on!!)
Then I looked at it later and saw it sitting under the kissing birds connector and realized how beautifully the colors went together, so the 'Love Birds Necklace' was created!

The pics don't do show just how pretty the necklace is in real life, or how gorgeously rich the color of the swarovski crystals are!
When my 16 y.o. daughter saw the finished design, she tried to steal it, so I'm pretty sure she liked it!! She now wants me to make her one, I'll be pretty busy for a while making her all the designs that she has asked for, lol, at least she is a big fan of my jewellery!

Custom Twilight Locket Bracelet

Here's some pics of my latest efforts, I had a customer ask for a Twilight locket bracelet, she wanted a smallish-sized heart-shaped silver locket hanging from a fine chain, some tiny charms or beads to depict the Twilight theme and a saying inside the heart locket from the Twilight novel. She wanted the saying covered with resin or something similar, and for the bracelet to have a vintage look to it. so I thought, 'O.k. how hard can this be?'
Famous last words!!!!
I had trouble finding the right sized locket in heart-shaped antique silver, if she had liked antique brass I would have had a million to choose from! I put an apple charm(for the Twilight image) on the locket and hung a gorgeous Swarovski crystal heart (for the heart Edward gave to Bella) and a ruby red Czech glass flower (to symbolize the color of blood for the vampire theme). Then I had to ask an Etsy graphics seller www.Jennifersbowsnmore.etsy.com if she could do a custom design for me, which she did, then I had to get her to change it to fit inside the little heart, I'm sure at least 6 times, poor thing, it probably felt like a 100 to her!! But I made a lovely new Etsy friend and we did a barter deal, she purchased one of my charm bracelets that I discounted for the work she had done for me. She is a lovely person and goes out of her way to make her customers happy and her prices are great too! (Thanks so much Jennifer!!)
Then came the fun part, trying to get the image to fit in the tiny heart and learning from making many mistakes how to use diamond glaze and microglaze!

As you can see I finally suceeded, I think the final result made it worth all the effort and frustration (and cursing!)
A HUGE THANKYOU to my wonderful patient customer also, who has waited for so long for this creation, and has never once been annoyed or impatient!!!

At least now if I had to make another, I have all the supplies needed and I know how to do it now! Underneath is a pic of the finished product that took a fair while to come about, waiting for the products to arrive from the U.S. and waiting for the glaze to dry (this took days!). Let me know what you think of the bracelet!!
